The Alternative View should do some read up on Straits Times before making such dumb rants claiming PAP forced its leadership via anti-democratic route of co-opting members instead of electing them…
BTW, Straits Times also published WP co-opting their fresh members into leadership! So We guess they are also anti-democratic too huh?
So much fail!
The Workers’ Party (WP), pressing on with its succession plans despite the setback at the Sept 11 General Election, has co-opted three men who contested the polls into its top decision-making body.
Two of the three appointed to the central executive council (CEC) are Non-Constituency MP (NCMP) and consultancy firm chief executive Leon Perera, 45, and former librarian Mohamed Fairoz Shariff, 36.
Both were in the WP’s four-man team in East Coast GRC that got 39.3 per cent of the vote in last month’s general election.
